Wieczna wojna (komiks)

In one sense, this book is an amusing and entertaining galactic war story that is smartly delivered and is faithful to physics, particularly hapdeman theory of special relativity.

And retire to the same planet, named I kid you not Middle Finger. This book is more of an exploration of the nature and principles of warfare than about haldemxn of battles though there is some of that also ; basically it is an anti-war novel.

It’s also hard sci-fi that deals with time dilation effects Okay – no word of a lie. It would be almost a century, I said, before I even get to Stargate.

I can’t wait now to read something else by him.

Joe Haldeman

He still sucks at fighting and isn’t really feeling it. Is that really all you could think of that might change in years? Blaine I think its more about colonizing. Now the next and most annoying part of this book is how serious it took itself. An eerily prescient cautionary tale about the machinery of war and the human cost. I will give props to anyone who is able to get their novel published. Anyway, this went from an irritating tic to deeply repulsive in a scene that’s described as an orgy but reads like a mass rape to me.

The middle section set on Earth is really my favorite part of the book, with the drastically changed culture and social mores. Even stopped resenting the loss of potential partners. I am now several several, several, and several years older and know all about the highly political nature of the book and I still think it is a kick-ass sci-fi story.

I loved the authors voice and humor, but the non-stop expletives pulled me out of the narrative. They are in the army, they fight on the line, they are Modern Women. Brother of Jack C.

AmazonGlobal Ship Orders Internationally. She wouldn’t be team leader forever. I love audiobooks, but I am beginning to think that short sci-fi books are not really the ideal for this I first read The Forever War a couple years ago in audiobook format, I quite liked it but to be honest it did not wojha much of a lasting impression.

What is the point of land battles? Although, the blend of the two seemed awkward, generally shifting to either one or the other, without a smooth balance. As an aside, a truly bizarre subplot recurs where the protagonist is covertly disgusted by gay men.

Wieczna wojna by Joe Haldeman (5 star ratings)

It shines a light not only on the culture of the s in which it was written, but also on our potential future. I was going back to Stargate for “indoctrination and education” before taking command.

And without giving too much away the novel ends with an affirmation of the social order that would make Jane Austen proud. Sort of interesting as an artifact of the ‘s, but this book has not aged well. When the second one arrived on Earth, his partner would probably be a half-century older; more probably dead. Like many great books, this works on multiple levels. Haldeman basically distills Heinlein’s worst reactionary tendencies into a dreary approximation of the Vietnam War in Space.

I don’t get it. Yet another woefully empty sci fi book composed of a handful of completely empty characters, some silly fighting, nutty views of the future incl and another!! Open Preview See a Problem?

I had never heard of the author or the book. Makes sense, wirczna the book was written by a Vietnam was veteran I found that out after I read the book. He is increasingly out of touch with Earth and the rest of humanity.
